Event rules

• The puzzle hunt will have five regular puzzles and one metapuzzle (which uses the answers to all the earlier puzzles). The metapuzzle unlocks once all five regular puzzles are cleared.

• You can work with as few or as many people together as you want. Our recommendation is teams of 1-4 people.

• Each puzzle has a single answer which is an English word or phrase. You can check answers online at any time via the Puzzles page, even after the hunt ends.

• No puzzles will require a physical presence in Denver, although entering the raffle requires you to submit the final answer to Hunt HQ in-person.

• This is not a competitive event! You can ask Hunt HQ for hints or advice as often as you like. The goal is to have fun, not to be frustrated!

• The use of computers, Internet, programming, web search, etc. are all permitted. However, we explicitly prohibit the use of AI/LLM's, such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, etc.

• We'll list all on-site participants that finish the hunt on the winners page. One person from that list will randomly receive a souvenir by raffle.
